Tournament Format : 2 game pool play followed by a single elimination bracket.

Each team is guaranteed three games, weather permitting. The results of pool play will seed teams for the single elimination portion of the tournament. Bracket seeding will be, in order: Record: wins/ties/losses, head to head, fewest runs allowed, most runs scored & coin flip.
- Each team will be required to bring 2 new baseballs at the start of the tournament.
- Please have your team warmed up and ready to go at least 30 min prior to your listed game time. Games may start early if your scheduled field is open and umpires are ready.
- Rules: The tournament will be run according to IHSA Baseball Rules with the following exceptions noted below
- A coin flip will determine the home team during pool play. During bracket play, the higher seed will be the home team. The home team will be the official scorekeeper and all changes must be reported to the umpires and opposing scorekeeper.
- Games will consist of 6 innings. The game is official after the completion of 3 innings if called due to rain, 2 ½ innings if the home team is in the lead. Game start time will be the first official pitch of the game. The time limit is 1hr and 30min.
- For Seeding Games: the game will be final at the end of the inning after the time limit has expired even if there is a tie.
- For Bracket Play: at the end of the time limit the next inning will start with bases loaded and 1 out ( runners will be the last three batters from the previous inning.) The game will continue as such until a winner has been determined.
- The Championship game will have no time limit.
- Mercy Rules:
- 8 run lead after 3 innings
- 10 after 4 innings
- Courtesy Runners: for catchers are allowed; however, it must be a player that is not in the game, or the last batted out when batting the entire roster.
- No Lineup Restrictions: Each team can bat any number of players they choose, or bat their entire lineup. If a team is batting the entire lineup and a player is injured, that player’s spot in the lineup will be skipped and not counted as an out. Free defensive substitutions (except pitcher) for any player that is in the batting lineup.
- If using re-entry with subs, starters will be allowed to re-enter one time to the position in the batting order they left. Pitchers may not return to the mound after being removed.
- A minimum of 8 players is needed to start a game. If playing with 8 players, an automatic out must be taken when it is the 9th batters turn.
- Base Distance: is 65’; pitching distance is 46ft. Metal spikes are not allowed.
- No Lead-offs: Runner must wait until the ball reaches the plate to steal.
- Dropped 3rd Strike: Is in effect
- USSSA pitching restrictions and rest times will be recommended for this tournament. We will not monitor pitch counts but we ask coaches to be good stewards of their players and NOT over pitch 10-year-old kids
- Bats: No bat limitations.
- Player Participation: A player may not participate in more than one team in this tournament.
- Home Plate: For a potential play at home plate: the base runner is required to slide into home plate if there is a play or ball being thrown to home for a potential play. The player will be called out if a slide is not attempted. The catcher may not block home plate or the base path until he has received the ball. (Umpires Discretion)
- No Protests: Protests will not be allowed. Please support the umpires. The tournament director Matt Dwyer will be on hand if there are any significant in-game issues
- Ejections: if a player or coach is ejected, they will be ineligible to be on the bench in the game where the ejection occurred AND the following game. If a fan is ejected, he/she will not be allowed in the park for the remainder of the tournament.
- Rain Out Policy: If no games are able to be played there will be a full refund minus a $75 admin fee.
Concessions: The concession stand will be open with a full assortment of food and beverages. Please do not bring outside food and drinks into Washington Park ; we appreciate your patronage.
